We coach you on to create a strong resume, one that will increase your chances of gaining an interview. The principles we coach you in will serve you well throughout the rest of your career.
Your resume should be a tactical document, thoughtfully and carefully crafted for a specific purpose – to win you that interview. In today’s competitive labour market, it is not uncommon for hundreds of resumes to be received in response to one job add. It is critical, therefore, to make your resume outstanding.
We recommend people commit to three sessions of Resume Coaching (1 hour each with homework in between) for optimum results, however people may elect a program length suitable to their needs and budget. Below is an overview of the full three coaching sessions:
Session 1
We coach you on the principles of an interview-winning resume including:
- optimal resume layout
- important keywords
- how to write achievement statements
- how to write a career profile
- how to market yourself in your resume to potential employers
Session 2
We review and refine the changes you have continued to make to your resume as a result of session 1. We focus on your achievement statements and career profile as these, when done well, do make employers and recruiters sit up and take notice.
Session 3
This session 'clinches the deal', ensuring you have a truly outstanding resume, one that has a strong context of ‘You as an offer’ (assuming you have also completed our pre–work tasks throughout). A by–product of this session that you also gain insights about your professional experience that are fundamental in the preparation for high performance at job interviews.
